Travel Covid PCR fit-to-fly Test Certificate issued

At this NHS pharmacy we are able to provide this vital test in order for you to obtain a PCR fit-to-fly certificate.

As travel restrictions are constantly evolving, more and more countries and airlines now require fit-to-fly PCR certificates to gain access to their country as well as the airline itself.

Some employers now require this certification to allow employees to continue their role.

  • The Covid-19 PCR swab test will test if you currently have the coronavirus. This is done by taking a swab of the nose and the back of the throat. It detects if there is viral genetic material present.
  • You have THREE options.
    1. In – Pharmacy testing

    We can take the sample in pharmacy and send off the test. We inform you of the    result by email. Your fit-to-fly certificate will be emailed to you along with the laboratory result

    1. Home testing Kits (Royal Mail Track24)
    2. Call us so we can take your details and process payment.
    3. Home testing kit sent out with full instructions, or call in to collect.
    4. You post via Royal Mail Track24 or Royal Mail Special Delivery service.
    5. You receive the results and certificate directly to your email from the laboratory.
  • Airlines usually request passengers produce a negative result on their certificate with a date that is within 3-5 days of boarding. Timing is crucial.Once the test has been sent off to the laboratory it will arrive the next day by Royal Mail Track 24.On receipt the lab will process and deliver your lab result and certificate within 24-48 hours via email. Please note it is your responsibility to check the travel requirements of the airline and country you are travelling to, as well as to ensure your results are received in the time frame required by the airline and country.
  • The test is extremely accurate.The Randox COVID-19 test recently underwent evaluation from and has been accepted by Public Health England. In its evaluation of the test, Public Health England’s report noted that the assay correctly identified all positive and negative samples without exception.The test is also being used within the UK Government’s national COVID-19 testing programme.
  • Samples are analysed by Randox Laboratories who are currently processing 17% of all national samples carried out under the UK Government’s national COVID-19 testing programme
  • If you receive a positive result you should remain in self-isolation, and inform your healthcare provider of your result. You should follow the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include*:
    • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
    • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
    • New confusion or inability to arouse
    • Bluish lips or face
